Viridian Tea Company

Sandy Watson

Viridian Tea Company

What is your name: Kimberly Richardson

Where are you from: born in Georgia, yet claim Memphis as my home!

How did you get into tea/tea blends:  I have always been a lover of tea. Last year, I wondered if I could make my own tea and the rest is history. If everyone else was doing it, then why couldn't I? That's how I normally approach matters in my Life.

What is your favorite thing to cook: That's going to be a toss up between mushrooms and patty pan squash! Cooking them together is even better!

What do you do to relax: reading books, taking forest walks, cooking, traveling to new places, spending time with friends, brushing up on my Japanese and French

What is your favorite thing(s) about the CYCFM:  the feeling of family and community. When I first started, I wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do, yet when I noticed that the other vendors were kind and helped each other out, I knew I had made the right decision.  You guys rock!

What is your favorite movie or book: Favourite movie is between The Last Emperor and Lawrence of Arabia. Favourite book is between A Tale of Two Cities and Seven Years in Tibet.

What band/artist /person most inspired you growing up: Indiana Jones for his sense of adventure. That fascination with him led me to write my own stories as Indiana Kim that, many years later, turned into a book series with my publisher.

If you could have any superpower what would it be:  The ability to breathe underwater!

What goals do you have for your business in the next year: To have more people enjoy my tea and to expand the company! As of now, my tea is sold in a bookstore in New Orleans, a horror specialty shop in North Carolina, and an art gallery and bookstore here.  I would like to reach more states and even international. Happy Cups!
