Welcome to the Cooper-Young Community Farmers Market! We're small but we're like family. You can find us in the parking lot of First Congo every Saturday morning 8am-1pm. Come browse our market for a locally-sourced selection of fresh produce, grass-fed meat, homegrown herbs, warm baked goods, all-natural soaps, fresh-cut flowers, hot coffee and live acoustic music. We are family, kid, and dog-friendly. Visit us this weekend!

Sandy's Farm

Lauren Boyer

What is your name: Sandy Lee

Where are you from: Medon TN

How did you get into farming:  I grew up farming with my 5 siblings, my mom, So Vu and my dad, Ly Vu since I was 3yrs old. We have been farming in TN for over 30yrs now.

What is your favorite thing to cook: One of my favorite dishes to cook is Pho. It is also one of my friends and family's favorite dishes. It is an Asian beef noodle soup. Some of the vegetables in our farm that we use in our soup are fresh spring onions, mint, cilantro, lettuce, long yard beans, sugar peas, hot Thai peppers, and jalapenos. The soup is delicious!

What do you do to relax:  In our spare time, we love to go fishing!

What are your favorite things about the CYCFM:   A couple of things that I have enjoyed about CYCFM are the new friends that I've made and the sharing of each other's foods and products. The vendors and customers are very friendly!

What is your favorite book: My favorite book is the Bible.

What band/artist /person most inspired you growing up:  I love Jesus Christ! It is His love and grace for me that have inspired me to be a good and better person every day.

If you could have any superpower what would it be:  I don't think I want any superpowers...lol...It may be too much of a responsibility for me ;)

What goals do you have for your farm in the next year: One of our family goals for the farm next year is to provide more fresh grain and rice for our customers. All the people who have had our fresh and local rice refuse to go back to the store bought rice. Homegrown rice is so delicious and so much healthier!

Thank you for giving me this opportunity to share a little bit about my family and me. God bless and have a great day!
