Welcome to the Cooper-Young Community Farmers Market! We're small but we're like family. You can find us in the parking lot of First Congo every Saturday morning 8am-1pm. Come browse our market for a locally-sourced selection of fresh produce, grass-fed meat, homegrown herbs, warm baked goods, all-natural soaps, fresh-cut flowers, hot coffee and live acoustic music. We are family, kid, and dog-friendly. Visit us this weekend!

CYCFM: Where are you from?

TCF: Randy is originally from Phoenix, Arizona and Jo grew up in Maine.  We met in Memphis is 2008.

CYCFM: When and why did you farming?

TCF: Jo started dreaming about farming as a career while working on sustainable farms in the upper Midwest.  In Randy she met someone equally enthusiastic and willing to embark on a new adventure.

CYCFM: What is your favorite part about farming?

TCF: We both love working outdoors and being closely in tune to the cycle of the seasons.  We love the constant challenge and satisfaction of growing food for people.

CYCFM: What is your favorite dish to cook?

TCF:  A completely farm-grown meal is utterly satisfying.  Jo is a master at using whatever vegetables are in abundance in simple preparations that allow the flavor of the fresh produce to shine.

CYCFM: How do you relax?

TCF:  A rainy day game of Scrabble is a favorite around here.  It's pleasant to take time to hang out with the animals and play with our cats and dogs.  A real treat is having friends stop by, we especially enjoy talking with folks interested in getting into farming.

CYCFM: What is your favorite part about the Cooper Young Community Farmers Market?

TCF:  There are so many things that we love!  Jo loves visiting with shoppers, other vendors and market volunteers.  It's a friendly environment and just the right size for our business.  We also appreciate how authentic the market is and that patrons can be confident farmers grow everything they sell.
