CYCFM: Where are you from?
CT: Birmingham, Al.
CYCFM: How did you begin making popsicles?
CT: I was inspired by Steel City Pops in Birmingham, Al. I was visiting my Dad over Christmas and took the family to have popsicles in January. There were actually other people buying them as well, and I thought whoever started this was onto something. People were buying popsicles in the winter! So I figured I would give it a go and see where it takes me.
CYCFM: What is your favorite part about your job?
CT: I love taking raw ingredients and turning them into a product that people enjoy. I love watching the reaction when someone takes their first bite, most are blown away by the flavor.
CYCFM: What is your favorite dish to eat/cook?
CT: I enjoy making classic "one pot" creole dishes.
CYCFM: How do you relax?
CT: Playing squash at Rhodes College.
CYCFM: What is your favorite part of the Cooper Young Farmers Market?
CT: I've only been there one week, but I got the feeling that there is a real sense of community at the market.
