Welcome to the Cooper-Young Community Farmers Market! We're small but we're like family. You can find us in the parking lot of First Congo every Saturday morning 8am-1pm. Come browse our market for a locally-sourced selection of fresh produce, grass-fed meat, homegrown herbs, warm baked goods, all-natural soaps, fresh-cut flowers, hot coffee and live acoustic music. We are family, kid, and dog-friendly. Visit us this weekend!

Mary Phillips from Roots Memphis!

Lauren Rae Holtermann

Mary had a bad accident at the farm. She will be fine and is recovering swiftly, but  all messages of love and support are welcome.

CYCFM: Where Are you from?

MP: Memphis, Tennessee, y'all!

CYCFM: When and why did you begin farming?

MP: I started farming in high school. I was a particularly angsty teenager, trying to discover the meaning of life, and I decided that the meaning of life was farming. I convinced my family to let me go live on a farm in a little, tiny town near Lawrence, Kansas. I'm so glad they let me go!

CYCFM: What is your favorite crop to grow?

MP: Radishes. When everything else fails, a radish will always come through for you. It's my self-esteem crop.

CYCFM: What is your favorite dish to eat?

MP: Eggplant! But, I don't get to eat it that often, because Wes doesn't like it. I try to sneak it into stir-fries sometimes, but he still finds it. Alas!

CYCFM: How do you relax?

MP: Drink lots of wine? Am I allowed to say that?

CYCFM: What is your favorite part about the Cooper Young Community Farmers Market?

MP: We have the best farmers, vendors, customers and market manager in the world!! It's like one big family reunion every single weekend. I love it.
